Expenses & budgets

Project spending forwards with realistic lifecycle curves — active retirement years, quieter phases, aged-care overlay, and one-off costs like vehicles or overseas holidays. Import real spending from the expense tracker when you want ground truth.

General spending & budgets

Spending habits change over time. RetireMe supports essential and discretionary categories, retirement expense profiles with lifestyle phases, and inflation-adjusted projections through end-of-life.

Where clients have never budgeted, start with estimated totals and refine later — the wizard gets a plan running quickly; the Plan tab supports detail when appropriate.

Planned expenses & care

Schedule one-off and recurring costs via timeline changes. Aged-care overlay models self-funded care from a chosen age, with optional Residential Care Subsidy (RCS) when assessable assets fall below threshold.

The expense tracker module lets you classify bank statement lines and import a realistic monthly figure into the plan — closing the loop between assumptions and reality.

Adviser tip: If a client has never tracked spending, work backwards from surplus income to sanity-check the budget before locking in retirement spending assumptions.
